PajakMania Gathering II

PajakMania Gathering II

Owing to their love of tax, a Twitter account and a tax-lover community named “PajakMania” was formed. In 2014, PajakMania reached the age of 4 and continued to carry the spirit.

On Saturda, 15 February 2014, this community held a gathering at Taman Langsat, South Jakarta with the agenda reviewing Income Tax 21 and Income Tax 1% Government Regulation 46. This event was the second gathering after the first one in mid 2013.

This event was fully sponsored by DDTC. DDTC gave away Inside Tax magazines special edition o (December 2013) to all the attendants of the gathering. Prior to the event, the attendants calmly yet seriously read Inside Tax magazines. Consequently, all the attendants gained knowledge on Indonesia’s taxation outlook in 2014.

The event commenced with the attendants’ self-introduction. The attendants ranged from fiscus, tax consultants, tax university students, companies’ tax staff, and Taxpayers who are concerned about tax.

After self-introduction, the event continued with the main agenda within this forum, reviewing e-SPT PPh (e-Income Tax Return) 21 year 2014 which was compulsory as of 21 January 2014. Numerous points regarding e-SPT PPh (e-Income Tax Return) 21 year 2014 were discussed in this event, including the difficult of installing the application on computers, the difficulty of data input, to the difficulty of using the application. All of these items were thoroughly discussed. In conclusion, it is highly possible that e-SPT PPh (e-Income Tax Return) 21 year 2014 2014 will undergo another patch update in the future to improve or upgrade the performance of this application.

Having discussed e-SPT PPh (e-Income Tax Return) 21, the event continued with reviewing Income Tax 1% Government Regulation 46 Year 2013. As a relatively new tax regulation, apparently numerous university students are bringing up this topic in thesis henceforth the discussion was full of academic point of view. In the end, the resolution of this discussion was the desire of differentiation for Taxpayers who use bookkeeping and recording.

Having discussed Income Tax 1%, the event continued wit  prize giving away session and doorprize from @PajakRI’s twitter giving away complete tax calendars with deadlines of payment and tax reporting. The event was exciting and closed with PajakMania’s gathering attendants’ group photo.

The next PajakMania gathering may discuss Electronic Tax Invoice which was to be used starting mid year until the following years and other current taxation issues.

Last but not least, PajakMania conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to @DDTCIndonesia as the main sponsor of this event. Hopefully in the future DDTC will be more successful in sharing taxation knowledge to Indonesian society.
