Nurul Salsabila

My name is Nurul Salsabila, a student of University of Indonesia majoring in Fiscal Administration Science class of 2014. I am an intern at Danny Darussalam Tax Center (hereinafter referred to as DDTC) in Transfer Pricing Services division for approximately three months, from June to August 2017. The reason I chose DDTC because I knew that DDTC is an Indonesian tax consultant with comparable quality with other tax consultants in tier 1. In addition, I was informed that my seniors who were interns DDTC gained more knowledge than trainees in other consultants. Hence, the reason for choosing the transfer pricing division was that I had not gained sufficient knowledge int transfer pricing from campus and felt that I should have known more about transfer pricing because it is currently the most popular issue, especially since the issuance of Ministry of Finance Regulation 213. Therefore, I had big hopes when I signed up for the internship. For three months as an intern, I felt that reality was higher than my expectations. Moreover, I feel that choosing DDTC and transfer pricing division is the right choice. DDTC’s transfer pricing is one of

the best to date. I gained a lot of new and useful knowledge that I did not get on campus. I was taught how to prepare a transfer pricing documentation from start to finish while my friends who became interns in other tax consultants were not. I was taught how to analyze financial statements, how to benchmark through manual reviews of ORBIS database results, how to perform function, asset and risk analysis through interviews with clients and many others. In addition, I was given the opportunity to meet with clients to discuss matters related to DDTC’s transfer pricing documentation. It was my first inspiring experience because prior to this internship, I was only taught theoretical lessons in the lecture without knowing how to apply them in the field.
