After I graduated from college, I believe that the academic provision alone is not enough to have a successful career in the future. The knowledge that I have gained in college is only a small part of the entire tax knowledge.

Fortunately, I had the opportunity to involve in internship program at DDTC, a knowledge-based tax firm. Here, I learned that to build a successful career in the taxation field, broad knowledge is a must. During my internship period, I was always encouraged to learn continuously about everything related to both Indonesian and international taxation. I also encouraged staying up-to-date about any new developments or what is currently happening in the world of taxation.

Obviously, by joining the internship program, I strongly believe my practical skills have increased. Here, especially in Research and Training Division, I was given various tasks which I hadn’t done in my college. They made me feel challenged and forced me to continue to learn hard to answer them with satisfactory results. Moreover, I am fully supported by colleagues that are experts in their fields, as well as the support of references from library that has amazing collections of more than a thousand books and journals from around the world.

In the end, I have experienced many things, from developing writing skills, increasing public speaking ability, conducting seminars and coursse, to developing the firm’s website and social media relations.

I believe that the internship is a bridge connecting the theoretical knowledge and the practical one and a knowledge-based institution such as DDTC is the perfect choice to earn both of them.
