Join DDTCNews as a Reporter-Researcher Intern and gain hands-on experience in developing tax-related content, conducting research, and producing educational materials that support the leading tax knowledge ecosystem in Indonesia.
Job Description:
- Conduct research and data collection (regulations, international institution reports, statistical data, etc.) as material for articles or social media content.
- Develop and produce articles or non-news content for the DDTCNews website (Literacy, Community, and Data & Tools channels).
- Package tax-related issues into educational and informative content native to social media platforms (e.g. Instagram and TikTok).
- Write scripts (copy, voice-over, storyboard, captions) for graphic or video production together with the creative and design team.
- Process tax data into data-driven content (tables, charts, data narratives).
- Coordinate with editors during the editing process prior to publication.
- Monitor developments in tax, business, and public policy issues relevant to DDTCNews readers.
- Perform other duties related to non-news content development and social media as needed.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Final-year undergraduate student or Bachelor's degree in Economics, Taxation, or a related field.
- Experience as a Tax Volunteer (Relawan Pajak) or active involvement in campus media is an advantage.
- High curiosity and strong interest in tax-related issues.
- Ability to research, process, and analyse basic data and information.
- Strong writing skills for articles and scripts that are engaging and easy to understand, for both websites and social media.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work well within a team.
- Able to work under deadlines and adapt to the working pace of the DDTCNews editorial team.
- High creativity in packaging tax-related issues into content that is easy for the public to digest.
- Familiar with current social media trends and formats (reels, short videos, carousels, etc.).
- Experience managing social media content (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) is an advantage.
Candidates are Required to Pass:
- DDTC TOEFL Test (minimum score: 450)
- DDTC General Knowledge Test
- General Tax Knowledge Test
- Written Skill Test for the Reporter-Researcher DDTCNews Qualification
