DDTCNews Reporter-Researcher

Join DDTCNews as a Reporter-Researcher. You will cover stories, write, and process data into news and content that strengthen the tax knowledge ecosystem in Indonesia. Your work will become a key reference for all tax stakeholders across the country.

Job Description:

• Conduct research and data collection (regulations, international institution reports, statistical data, etc.) as material for news coverage and tax news article writing.
• Cover stories and conduct interviews with sources.
• Verify data and information used as material for tax articles or other DDTCNews content.
• Write tax-related articles in accordance with journalistic principles and DDTCNews editorial standards.
• Process tax data into data-driven content (tables, charts, data narratives).
• Coordinate with editors during the editing process prior to publication.
• Monitor developments in tax, business, and public policy issues relevant to DDTCNews readers.
• Perform other duties related to news coverage and data processing as needed.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Economics, Taxation, or a related field. Candidates from other disciplines with reporting experience are welcome to apply.
• Experience as a macroeconomics reporter is an advantage.
• Strong writing skills for tax-related articles (both straight news and feature news), with clear writing that adheres to journalistic principles.
• High curiosity and strong interest in tax-related issues.
• Ability to research, process, and analyse data and information.
• Good interpersonal and public communication skills.
• Able to work under deadlines and adapt to the working pace of the DDTCNews editorial team.
• Good understanding of tax regulations.

Candidates are Required to Pass:

• DDTC TOEFL Test (minimum score: 500)
• DDTC General Knowledge Test
• General Tax Knowledge Test
• Written Skill Test for the Reporter-Researcher DDTCNews Qualification
