What attracted us to be interns at DDTC were its outstanding reputation as a leading transfer pricing firm in Indonesia and the exciting new field of study and we can say with certainty that my experience has far exceeded my expectation. The first time we came at DDTC, we were so excited because we were working with one of the best Tax consultants in Indonesia, but we would say it’s the best, because of the people, the senior, manager, and even the partner were so friendly and funny. Not only did we learn a lot from the masters, but also the joy and the fun of working here is different from others. When we were interns, we were undergraduate students who were working and finishing our final assignments. Since we were diploma students, we signed contracts with DDTC.

We have been fortunate to be interns Tax Compliance and Tax Litigation Division & Transfer Pricing Division at DDTC. DDTC is our second place for internship, but this is the first place that gave us the real work environment. DDTC treated us not as interns but more than that. We were given the responsibility to handle individual income tax return, advisory about a real tax case, and even corporate income tax return. As interns, it was really a great honor for us to handle such things like that.

During our period of internship, we realized that our knowledge from college was not enough to deal with a real tax case. The knowledge that we have gained in college seems merely to be the cover of a book, the content itself should be accomplished from practice in the field. Then we believe DDTC is definitely the right place where we can obtain the contents of books by learning directly about both the work environment and tax cases. DDTC increases our knowledge about taxation each day. DDTC has their library which is for us may be the best way to gain knowledge about taxation. The library is full of books that no one else has, from general taxation, domestic tax, transfer pricing, OECD model, international tax, and many more.

Three months has passed away, but we felt like we knew DDTC for years, they treated us like their family, and career is should be not focus of knowledge orientation in general, but should be the one which become soulmate in daily, so that's how we felt enjoy for became interns at DDTC.

Being a part of DDTC is one valuable experience. DDTC introduced us to the real experience in the career path of taxation field. At DDTC, we joined as interns at Transfer Pricing Services and Compliance and Litigation Services Division. We lacked knowledge of the transfer pricing before, here we know more about transfer pricing, basic concept of transfer pricing, economic analysis, characteristics of business industry, preparing the transfer pricing documentation until case study in transfer pricing cases, and many more. With complete facilities, DDTC provides access and opportunity to learn many things, both from a professional team and library. These values are compatible to DDTC’s value as a learning organization.

We felt that this internship is remarkable in three aspects; firstly, the access that interns can gain to an impressive array of prominent individuals from the fields of taxation, secondly, DDTC and team that actively encourage and support their interns to develop their knowledge in taxation, giving them access to its extensive range of contacts and books, thirdly its working system and environment, being a fast learner, teamwork, responsibility and time management. After our experience here, all we can say is “Thanks”. Thanks to DDTC team for the opportunity to work in such an interesting and exciting place, and offering us new approaches on different problems and questions of our time, it has been a pleasure for us to work with all of you.
