This early January 2020 edition reviews the revenue and expenditure realization in 2019. Overall, the state revenue realization in 2019 amounted to Rp1,957.2 trillion or 90.4% of the 2019 State Budget target set at Rp2,165,1 trillion, with the realization of state expenditure totalling Rp2,310.2 trillion. In other words, the 2019 state budget deficit was recorded at Rp353 trillion. The sluggish global economy has also impacted on Indonesia’s revenues, in particular, from the taxation sector. This edition also reviews Indonesia’s position in multilateral instrument (MLI) as stated in Presidential Regulation No. 77 of 2019. Read the full review in this week’s newsletter.
