Throughout my career at DDTC for more than 4 years, I have obtained a number of opportunities. Starting from a Bachelor degree scholarship to courses abroad. The constantly open opportunities for all DDTC’s employees who would like to expand their knowledge is fully supported by DDTC through its Human Resource Development Program (HRDP) program. Alhamdulillah, this time around, once again I was entrusted with the chance to attend a short course held by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) di Singapura. The course’s topic was titled Getting a Good Deal by Understanding Taxation Aspects of Mergers & Amalgamations and Tax Due Diligence.

The course was held on 21 March 2017 at ISCA Building, Singapore. The course was attended by 24 participants, most of whom were from Singapore and I with the rest of DDTC team were distinctively the only participants from Indonesia. The course focused more on taxation aspects viewed from Income Tax, VAT, and Stamp Duty aspects should a company seek to perform Merger or Acquisition. Moreover, the course exposes the techniques and steps to perform tax due diligence. The highly competent lecture made me feel proud to be in the classroom. The class was absolutely interactive with its question and answer session and discussion among the participants which enabled me to have in-depth talks with other participants regarding practical taxation in Singapore.

The course was ended with a group photo with Jack Wong as the lecture and DDTC team. The course opened my insight regarding taxation in Singapore in particular Acquisition, Merger, and Tax Due Diligence. Lastly, I would like to convey my heartfelt gratitude to DDTC for always supporting me in my studies and career and for the opportunity to study abroad. Thank you DDTC! May DDTC always be GREAT!
